Spear of Shojin is an AD bruiser item that rewards champions able to stay in range and convert multiple ability cycles into sustained damage.
The current Shojin is not just about raw haste. It combines Health, AD, then a conditional ramp after damaging monsters or champions. It gains the most value on profiles that can stick to targets long enough to stack and cash in that bonus on abilities and passive damage.
It is a strong buy for bruisers and AD casters that reuse abilities often in fights and remain threatening after the initial engage: Renekton, Wukong, Ambessa, Jarvan IV, or certain tempo junglers. It loses value on profiles that only play one explosive rotation, cannot keep pressure after entry, or mostly need penetration / immediate burst.
