Bruiser
Eclipse
Eclipse is a controlled-burst item for AD casters and bruisers that want to dominate short trades and come out of first contact ahead.
The item excels when your champion threatens on a short rotation, enters quickly, then disengages. Its value comes from the damage-protection mix: you are not only buying an aggressive proc, but also the ability to win a trade without instantly taking the full answer back, which is extremely valuable in tense lanes and skirmishes.
It is a solide option on profiles like Pantheon, Jayce, Renekton, Zed, or certain AD junglers that play around spell timings and mid-game pressure. It is less optimal when the game mainly asks for prolonged DPS into frontlines or when your champion prefers to extend fights instead of breaking them on the first window.
