Manamune loses its Mana consumption mechanic in patch 7.3, like Seraph's Embrace the patch before: in exchange, 40 AD and 500 base Mana, for 2900 gold.
Awe: you gain AD equal to 2% of your max Mana and refund 15% of total Mana spent. Mana Charge: basic attacks and Mana expenditure grant 14 max Mana, up to 700, at most 3 times every 10 seconds. The effect no longer depends on spending Mana to deal its damage.
It is a setup purchase, often strongest very early, on champions like Ezreal, Jayce, or certain AD poke profiles that can exploit every extra point of mana. It matters much less in games where you must fight immediately to survive lane or where your champion has no time to stack before key timings.
