Kraken Slayer is a sustained DPS item for carries who stack attack speed: every third attack deals bonus physical damage that grows with the target's missing Health.
Bring It Down: every 3 attacks, you deal 150 to 210 bonus physical damage (120 to 168 for ranged champions), increased by 0.75% per 1% of the target's missing Health, up to +75%. Patch 7.3 makes it slightly more expensive (2900 gold) but gives it 45 AD, 35% attack speed and a recipe using Recurve Bow and Hearthbound Axe.
It is typically a second- or third-slot buy when the game is decided by sustained DPS rather than one-shot patterns. It shines on on-hit ADCs and champions that trigger its three-hit rhythm quickly, but it loses value when fights are too short or when your build must first cover survival, range, or penetration.
