About Wild Rift Core
An independent site dedicated to League of Legends: Wild Rift, built by players for players who want to improve seriously.
Our mission
Wild Rift Core was born from a simple frustration: the resources available to improve at Wild Rift were either too generic or directly adapted from the PC game without accounting for the mobile version's unique characteristics. The game has its own metas, its own objective timings, its own touch-control constraints — and deserved a dedicated tool built with that in mind.
Our goal is to give players the most accurate and actionable tools to understand the meta, choose the right builds, identify favourable matchups, and structure their draft. No mass-generated content, no copy-pasted guides: every champion page is built from real game data and strategic analysis of each kit.
What you'll find on the site
- Complete champion pages — playstyle, main build, skill order, combos, strengths and weaknesses, phase-by-phase game plan.
- Updated Tier List — champion rankings by role, calculated on Master+ ranked games and recalculated every two days.
- Meta analysis — dominant champions of the current patch with winrate, pickrate and banrate statistics.
- Counters and synergies — detailed matchups and team composition guides for every champion.
- Draft tool — interactive assistant to build a balanced composition before the game starts.
- Climbing guide — concepts of tempo, macro, risk management and mental game to climb efficiently.
- WRC Nexus mobile app — the draft engine, builds, counters and the Nexus coach in a free app for Android and iOS. Discover the app.
Our data sources
The winrate, pickrate and banrate statistics displayed on the site come from the official Tencent platform (mlol.qt.qq.com), aggregated from ranked games on CN servers, tier by tier (from all ranks up to Challenger; the tier list is based on the Master+ tier). This data is collected automatically every day. Item, rune and spell attributes come from the game's official Tencent library.
Champion visuals (icons, spells, items) are sourced from Riot Games Data Dragon and the Community Dragon API, used in accordance with standard community meta-gaming site practices.
Wild Rift Core is not affiliated with Riot Games, Tencent, or any commercial entity related to the game. League of Legends: Wild Rift is a registered trademark of Riot Games.
Our methodology
- Tier list — each champion gets a score per role: 50% its win rate in Master+ ranked games, 20% its presence (pick + ban, so a heavily banned champion isn't penalised for being played less) and 30% the consensus of the main community tier lists, which acts as a safeguard against small samples. The ranking is recalculated every two days; a formula change is flagged as such in the history so it isn't mistaken for a meta shift.
- Builds — items, runes and spells are assembled by our engine from the real attributes of each item, following the game's rules: non-stacking items, exclusive item families.
- Counters and matchups — the favourite in each duel combines matchup statistics with kit analysis, and every verdict is checked by hand by EllieAnth. A verdict reported as wrong by a player is checked and corrected.
- Draft tool — pick rankings combine the champion's strength at the tier, its matchups against champions already picked and the needs of the team composition, with no hard-coded list of favourites.
- Coverage — 140+ champions, 5 roles, 8 languages.
Who builds Wild Rift Core?
Wild Rift Core is an independent project developed and maintained by a passionate Wild Rift player committed to building the best resource for the game. The site is entirely built as static HTML (SSG) and hosted on Cloudflare Pages for maximum performance, with no resale of data: audience measurement is used only for the site's own statistics.
The project is constantly evolving: new champion pages, new analysis features, continuous improvement of draft and meta tools. If you have suggestions, corrections, or want to report an error, feel free to contact us.
