Akshan Wild Rift Expert Guide

With Akshan, positioning is the top priority to maximize damage output. Use his mobility to create unexpected angles and maintain map pressure. In teamfights, focus exposed targets rather than attacking the frontline.

Akshan Wild Rift Expert Guide

§ 07b — Advanced MechanicsAkshan: combos & tips Wild Rift

Main burst combo
1 E E
2 Passif AA
3 Q Q
4 AA

Swing to get within range, trigger the passive with an auto-attack, then throw the boomerang.

Chase combo
1 AA
2 Q Q
3 E E

Auto-attack, throw the boomerang and follow up with Heroic Swing to stay on top of a fleeing target.

Surprise combo
1 Q Q
2 Flash Flash

Extremely difficult to react to, ideal for finishing off enemies with low HP.

Gank engage combo
1 E E
2 AA
3 Q Q
4 Passif AA

Heroic Swing attacks the nearest enemy upon entering, followed by Q for the boomerang’s double hit.

Mechanical Tips

  • Dirty Fighting: every third hit deals bonus damage and grants a shield. The second auto-attack can be cancelled by moving to gain movement speed instead of attacking — useful for escaping.
  • Avengerang (Q): the boomerang returns and can strike twice — position yourself so that the enemy is in its path both on the way out AND on the way back.
  • Align Q with a line of minions + champion: as the boomerang passes through minions, it’s possible to land a double hit on a champion behind them.
  • Heroic Swing (E) recast: manually recast E to jump off the rope and avoid awkward terrain collisions.
  • Going Rogue (W) stealth: infinite duration near terrain or bushes — use this to roam between lanes without being spotted.
  • Avengerang in the bushes: the boomerang reveals the area around it — a safe way to check the bushes without exposing yourself.

Common Mistakes

  • Do not cancel the second passive auto-attack when in danger — the bonus movement speed is better than the attack in this situation.
  • Comeuppance (R) can be blocked by minions and champions — aim carefully from a clear angle.
  • Use E without an available rope (terrain) — preview the trajectory before casting.

Notable Interactions

  • Flash whilst Going Rogue (W) is active does not reveal camouflage.
  • Only pink wards reveal stealth from Going Rogue — neither Ignite nor normal wards do.
  • Heroic Swing (E) resets after a kill or assist in a teamfight.
  • Akshan can resurrect fallen allies by eliminating the champion who killed them (Scoundrel’s unique ability).

Akshan takes over in mid game: setup deep vision and work your jungler around the walls.

How do I punish Akshan?

Akshan can be punished when very sensitive to hard-cc. A practical answer listed here is: Hold Stasis/peel for its execution R.
