Slow with E, Q for damage and Overwhelm stacks, auto-attacks to stack.

All-in combo

Weave in auto-attacks between each ability to stack Overwhelm; use R when the enemy’s HP is below the stack threshold.

Reflect combo

Reflect the enemy’s ability, then counter-attack immediately.

Extended burst combo

Stack continuously; do not rush to use R — wait for the auto-execution.

Overwhelm (passive): Each hit (basic attacks and abilities) generates a stack. Stacks accumulate magic damage. When an enemy’s HP falls below the accumulated damage threshold, the enemy is instantly executed. Mel is not a traditional burst damage champion — she is a damage-over-time execute champion.
Rebuttal (W — Golden Aegis): immunity to damage + reflection of enemy projectiles. Reflected projectiles deal 50% magic damage + apply the original effects (e.g. a reflected Lux Q root causes Lux to be rooted). Use against Lux, Jinx’s R, Rell’s R, Caitlyn’s R.
Don’t rush R: Mel doesn’t kill instantly like assassins — stack patiently for the auto-execute. R can also be used as a setup ability.
Prolonged fights: Mel excels in extended fights. Avoid ultra-short exchanges.

W can reflect key ultimates (Jinx’s R, Rell’s R) — turning the tide of a teamfight.
The passive’s Execute is instant and cannot be blocked by shields [to be confirmed].
Mel is a new champion (2024) — a unique mechanic in the Wild Rift roster.

Mel is generally played as Mid. The early goal is to protect lane tempo and reach the first strong setup.

Mel is usually punished by forcing its first defensive or spacing tool too early.
