Taliyah Wild Rift Expert Guide

The key to Taliyah is anticipation: placing E before W in most trades and always thinking about enemy movement paths rather than their current position. Her ultimate is worth more for cutting a retreat or objective access than as an offensive dash.

§ 07b — Advanced MechanicsTaliyah: combos & tips Wild Rift

Standard burst combo
1 W W
2 E E
3 Q Q

The 2 pushes the enemy towards the rocks in the 3’s area so they take massive damage whilst crossing it, then the 1 to finish them off

Full rotation combo
1 Q Q
2 W W
3 E E
4 Q Q

1 for the initial poke, 2 to shove, 3 for the damage zone, then a second 1 to finish them off (the 1 outside Worked Ground is available)

Advanced pro combo
1 E E
2 W W

Cast 3 first, then 2 to shove the enemy DIRECTLY into the rock zone = maximum damage immediately with no delay

Mechanical Tips

  • Worked Ground management: after casting Threaded Volley (1) outside the Worked Ground, MOVE before recasting — the single boulder in the Worked Ground has a reduced mana cost, reduced cooldown, deals more damage and slows enemies
  • Seismic Shove (2) direction: Player 2 must shove the enemy TOWARDS the Unraveled Earth area or towards a wall — place Player 3’s area BETWEEN the enemy and yourself, then use Player 2’s ability so that it passes through the rocks
  • Weaver’s Wall (Ult): the wall spans the entire map; use it to cut off escape routes, separate enemy carries from the rest of their team, or force flanks
  • Rock Surfing (passive): Taliyah gains speed when out of combat — use this to roam quickly between lanes and the jungle

Common Mistakes

  • Seismic Shove without positioning: using the 2nd ability on its own doesn’t set anything up — always place the 3rd ability IN ADVANCE where the enemy is going to be shoved
  • Threaded Volley on Worked Ground without repositioning: staying on the Worked Ground to recast results in a powerful boulder, but enemies will know where Taliyah is — move to reset the area if necessary
  • Weaver’s Wall too offensive: the ultimate is an escape interrupt or a separation tool — don’t use it to “run towards” someone, but to cut off and separate them

Notable Interactions

  • Unraveled Earth’s rocks (3) deal damage if enemies move over them — also an area-of-effect tool for blocking approaches
  • Seismic Shove can send enemies into walls (brief stun) if the shove is directed towards terrain
  • In the jungle, Taliyah can use Weaver’s Wall to block jungle paths or cut off an enemy jungler’s retreat
