Tryndamere Wild Rift Expert Guide

With Tryndamere, build fury before every engagement to maximize crit rate. Save your ultimate for critical survival situations rather than pure offense. In split push, your invulnerability allows killing towers you otherwise couldn't.

Mechanical Tips

  • Battle Fury (passive): Fury is generated through auto-attacks, critical hits and taking damage — at 100 Fury, Tryndamere reaches maximum critical strike chance; casting Bloodlust (1) consumes Fury to heal
  • Bloodlust (1) passive: Ability 1 provides a passive AD bonus based on the percentage of HP remaining — the lower Tryndamere’s HP, the stronger he becomes; don’t panic and keep fighting
  • Spinning Slash (3) reduced cooldown on critical hits: Skill 3 reduces its cooldown if Tryndamere lands a critical hit during the dash — with a good critical strike build, Skill 3 can be used several times in a row
  • Undying Rage timing: activate the ultimate at EXACTLY 1 HP for optimal timing — wait until the very last second to maximise the remaining duration of the ultimate
  • Spinning Slash over walls: Skill 3 can pass through walls — use it for escapes from the jungle or to engage targets who aren’t expecting it

Common Mistakes

  • Spinning Slash at melee range: do not use the 3 key when you are already next to the enemy — save the dash for escaping when the enemy uses Flash or for catching up with a fleeing target
  • Undying Rage cast too early: activating the ultimate at 50% HP wastes its power — wait until you’re down to 1–5% HP to maximise the invincibility window and psychological pressure
  • Mocking Shout poorly timed: Ability 2 reduces the enemy’s AD only if the target is facing AWAY from Tryndamere — use it when the enemy is fleeing to maximise the AD reduction

Notable Interactions

  • Undying Rage negates execution effects (Pyke’s ultimate, Urgot’s ultimate) — Tryndamere cannot be executed whilst his ultimate is active
  • Tryndamere is an excellent counter to Teemo thanks to his mobility with his third ability (he can traverse mushroom zones and escape the slow)
  • With Phantom Dancer + Infinity Edge, Tryndamere’s critical strike chance at max Fury is virtually permanent

FAQ

How should I play Tryndamere in Wild Rift?

Tryndamere is generally played as Top. The first objective is to wave management (slow push) for jungler dives. Its biggest edge comes from elite split-push and oppressive duels with late r.

When is Tryndamere strongest?

Tryndamere takes over in mid game: split + ward deep; play on e's vision and reset.

How do I punish Tryndamere?

Tryndamere can be punished when very sensitive to hard controls and high-armor tanks. A practical answer listed here is: Play TP economy and cross-map against shell-breakers + tanks.
