Trigger Tantrum to reduce its cooldown, use Q to engage, auto-attack, trigger Tantrum again, then use R to stun.

Mechanical Tips

  • Bandage Toss (Q) — double charge: two charges available in Wild Rift. Use the first to engage or close the gap; save the second for a second lock or escape.
  • Despair (W) toggle: activate W as soon as you’re in combat — the damage is dealt per tick and amplifies the Cursed Touch passive (true damage bonus).
  • Curse of the Sad Mummy (R): AoE stun — position yourself right in the thick of the enemy melee before casting to maximise the number of targets stunned.
  • Tantrum (E): reduce its cooldown by taking damage — in engagements, use it frequently for DPS and the cooldown reduction.
  • Cursed Touch passive: attacks and abilities curse enemies, who take bonus true damage from allied magic attacks — in team fights, Amumu boosts the entire team’s magic DPS.

Common Mistakes

  • Save R for a single target rather than using it on a group of enemies.
  • Don’t use W in toggle mode as soon as you engage — every second without W is lost DPS and stacks.
  • Miss with Q and engage anyway — without the lockdown, Amumu is vulnerable outside of his R.

Notable Interactions

  • Q → Flash cancels the animation and makes the ability harder to react to than Flash → Q.
  • Aftershock triggers immediately after Q or R — resistance bonuses apply straight after the stun.
  • Amumu is an excellent teamfight champion with R — wait until enemies group together (e.g. around an objective).
