Yunara Wild Rift Expert Guide

Yunara's value comes from sustained DPS, not burst: every second of clean kiting is worth more than a risky mechanic. Her real hidden skill is Trance tempo management — called, synced with the team's engage, prepared — and the discipline of keeping E outside Trance as her only life insurance.

Yunara Wild Rift Expert Guide

§ 07b — Advanced MechanicsYunara: combos & tips Wild Rift

Early trade combo (lvl 2)
1 AA
2 Q Q
3 AA
4 AA
5 W W

Stack Unleash on minions before the trade, activate the 1 on contact, land 2-3 empowered AAs then disengage with the slow from the 2; coordinate with your support for a level 2 all-in

Full teamfight combo
1 E E
2 R R
3 W W
4 AAs

Use the 3 BEFORE the ultimate: the Transcendent state refreshes its cooldown, giving you two mobility casts in the same fight (approach MS + repositioning dash)

Kite/disengage combo
1 W W
2 E E
3 AAs en recul

The bead slows the chaser, the 3 gives you the speed to keep your distance, and the AAs maintain your Unleash stacks during the retreat

Transcendent poke combo
1 R R
2 W W
3
4 W W

During the Transcendent state, the cooldown of the 2 is reduced: two lasers can fire within the same window to zone an objective or poke before a fight

Mechanical Tips

  • Unleash stack management: each AA generates 1 stack (2 against a champion), and activating the 1 requires a full bar — arriving at a fight with a full gauge means instant burst is available; the bar turns orange when the activation is ready
  • Stack decay: not attacking causes Unleash stacks to drain over time (~6 sec of inactivity) — hit a minion or jungle monster between fights to keep the gauge up
  • 3 → Ult ordering: the Transcendent state refreshes Kanmei's Steps' cooldown — always spend the 3 right before ulting to get two mobility casts in the same engagement
  • Separate 1 and Ult windows: the ultimate automatically activates the 1 — trigger the manual 1 AFTER the ultimate ends (or ult after the 1 ends) to maximize total steroid uptime instead of overlapping the two
  • Untouchable Shadow (Transcendent 3) through walls: the Transcendent-state dash crosses thin walls — memorize the passable walls (jungle, river) for escapes the enemy cannot follow

Common Mistakes

  • Using the Ult as a panic button: triggering Transcend One's Self at 30% HP while focused saves nothing — the Transcendent state is a fight-OPENING tool from a safe position (laser + dash + splash), not a last-resort defensive
  • Stopping attacks between waves: the Unleash gauge drains — Yunara wants a near-constant attack rhythm (minions, jungle camps) to reach fights with the 1's activation ready
  • Looking for picks with her: Yunara excels in long fights where her hybrid DPS stacks up; she is mediocre at pick-style burst — do not play her like a Draven/Lucian, play structured 5v5s around objectives
  • Wasting the Transcendent dash on the engage: the upgraded 3's dash is her only real escape — hold it to answer the enemy dive rather than to enter first

Notable Interactions

  • Her passive (Vow of the First Lands) converts critical strikes into bonus magic damage: crit items (Infinity Edge…) also increase her magic damage — the enemy cannot itemize a single resistance against her
  • Attack speed buffs (Lulu's Whimsy, Nami's Tidecaller's Blessing, Ardent Censer) directly feed both Unleash generation AND her hybrid DPS — maximum enchanter synergy
  • The activated 1's splash also spreads critical strikes — fight positioning: hitting the grouped frontline spreads DPS onto the nearby backline
  • Anti-Yunara: Randuin's Omen reduces both critical damage AND attack speed — the reference defensive item for tanks against her; force fights right after her Transcendent state ends (no laser, no dash window)

FAQ

How should I play Yunara in Wild Rift?

Yunara is generally played as ADC. The early goal is to protect lane tempo and reach the first strong setup.

How do I punish Yunara?

Yunara is usually punished by forcing its first defensive or spacing tool too early.
