If being chased, W can stun the pursuer whilst you dash in the opposite direction with E.

Mechanical Tips

  • Timewinder (Q): the projectile returns upon hitting a target or the edge of its range — aim so that the enemy is in the path of both the outbound AND return journeys for a double hit.
  • Parallel Convergence (W): place it ahead of the enemy’s expected position, not directly under their feet. The stun activates after 2 seconds — anticipate their movement. Ekko is invisible whilst inside it.
  • Phase Dive (E): dash + auto-attack reset. E’s auto-attack triggers the Z-Drive Resonance passive (3rd hit) — position E so you’re within 2 hits of triggering the passive.
  • Z-Drive Resonance passive: every 3rd hit on a champion = burst damage + movement speed bonus. Chain Q and E to build up stacks.
  • Chronobreak (R): returns to the clone’s position 4 seconds in the past + heal. Activate R in a critical situation, not for the execute. Ensure the clone is in a safe position.

Common Mistakes

  • Position W directly beneath the enemy — he can easily break free before the stun.
  • Use R as an offensive tool rather than a survival reset.
  • Do not follow up immediately after the W stun — the window is short.

Notable Interactions

  • W grants Ekko stealth if he enters the area — useful for dodging after an engage.
  • Chronobreak can negate massive damage by restoring him to a higher HP level.
  • Ekko can be played in the jungle thanks to his mobility and his gank setup with W.
