Standard all-in combo

5 AA

Use the ultimate first for the knock-up/shark, E to dodge or close the gap, Q dash in, W auto-attack reset for the burst.

Quick burst combo

Q + R almost simultaneously so that R lands whilst Fizz is dashing — very difficult to react to.

Combo without ultimate (trade)

2 AA

4 AA

Q to close the gap, E to dodge, W for damage via auto-attack resets.

Poke combo

Dash in quickly with Q, W for damage, E for invincibility whilst retreating.

Mechanical Tips

Playful/Trickster (E): Fizz jumps onto his stick (first cast) = cannot be targeted for ~0.75s. Second cast to land where he is or dash in a chosen direction. Use to dodge critical CC (Blitzcrank’s Q, Lux’s R, etc.).
Chum the Waters (R): The shark targets the nearest champion on impact. Three sizes depending on the distance travelled — the greater the distance, the bigger the shark, the more CC. Aim far for maximum effect.
Rending Wave (W): Activate just before an auto-attack to reset — resulting in a near-instantaneous double auto-attack. Applies a slow debuff and deals on-hit damage.
Urchin Strike (Q): dashes through the target — position yourself to pass through and emerge on the right side.
E can jump over walls — use for creative escapes or unexpected angles of approach.

Common Mistakes

Using E offensively when you actually need it to survive.
Casting R at close range — a small shark with little CC. Always aim for medium to long range.
Not combining W with auto-attacks — you lose a significant attack reset.

E makes Fizz untargetable — he can dodge Ashe’s R, Lux’s Q and Caitlyn’s ultimate.
