Poke burst combo

The best lane poke. Mantra upgrades Q to AoE + delayed fire zone. Massive long-range damage.

Double poke combo

Normal Q for the slow, then immediately R + Q for an empowered Q straight away.

Accelerated shield combo

Amplified shield + area-of-effect speed boost. Use for a team retreat or a quick engage.

Apply the W tether, then use E Mantra for a shield and movement speed whilst the enemy is rooted.

Mechanical Tips

  • Mantra (passive, 3 stacks): each ability cast = 1 stack. On the 3rd stack, the next basic ability is empowered. Manage the stacks so that Mantra is ready for Q (poke burst) or E (shield/engage) at the right moment.
  • Inner Flame empowered (R+Q): explosive + persistent fire zone. Enemies within the zone continue to take damage.
  • Empowered Focused Resolve (R+W): longer duration + root on application (no delay). Useful for burst damage in a combo with an ally.
  • Empowered Inspire (R+E): area-of-effect shield (affects nearby allies too) + amplified speed boost. Very strong for team engagements or escapes.
  • Karma support vs. mid: as support, prioritise R+E for allied shields. In mid, use R+Q for burst poke.

Common Mistakes

  • Wasting Mantra on E (shield only) when the R+Q poke is available and more effective in lane.
  • Failing to manage Mantra stacks — using two abilities before Mantra without planning for the third.
  • Using Focused Resolve (W) without a follow-up — W alone takes several seconds before the root takes effect, so the enemy can move out of range.

Notable Interactions

  • Karma can cast a shield on herself with E — useful if she engages in the mid lane.
  • R+E can cast a shield on several nearby allies at the same time — excellent in close-quarters teamfights.
  • Karma has excellent poke in the laning phase with R+Q — difficult for melee casters to absorb.
