Protective kite and continuous acceleration
Yuumi and Lulu amplify exactly what Zeri wants to do: survive the first seconds, stay mobile and keep firing as the fight extends. This type of synergy reduces the punishment on her initial positioning and increases the value of R, because Zeri can keep her speed active longer without being forced out of combat. The duo becomes especially strong around objectives, when enemies have to move through limited space and Zeri can kite in circles.
How to play it. Play first to preserve Zeri’s health and tempo, then look for long fights at level 5 and around her first two items. The support should stay connected to her movement instead of engaging too far ahead.
Trade windows and flexible control
Nami and Thresh give Zeri more active windows without turning her into a burst marksman. Nami improves short trades that prepare an extended all-in, while Thresh can protect a positioning mistake or create a safer entry angle. These synergies are valuable because they do not ask Zeri to abandon her identity: she can still play for fight duration, but with more tools to survive the moment the enemy tries to shut her down.
How to play it. Use these duos to create small advantages before the full fight: a slow, a missed hook that forces retreat, a won trade. Zeri should then convert that window into extended DPS, not rush forward alone too quickly.
Defensive frontline and anti-engage
Braum brings a different kind of safety: he does not make Zeri more explosive, but he helps her survive first contact. This matters against compositions that want to force her E before she can activate R. With frontal protection, Zeri can play more patiently, wait for enemy crowd control to be spent and enter the fight when she can truly maintain DPS. This synergy still requires discipline, because it becomes weaker if the duo gets pressured too hard in lane.
How to play it. The duo should play around protecting against the first engage. Braum keeps enemies in front of him, Zeri saves E for the second movement, then the fight becomes favorable if she can activate R without being instantly locked down.
