Yuumi is a Dragon Lane enchanter support, a unique magical cat who can attach to an ally to become untargetable while healing and buffing them. While attached, she becomes an invulnerable moving buff, permanently healing and empowering her host ally. Her ultimate immobilizes multiple enemies in musical vines. In Wild Rift, Yuumi is ideal in hypercarry compositions where she amplifies a snowballing champion like Jinx or Vayne by keeping them at full health and maximizing their lifesteal.
Yuumi excels in hyper-carry compositions whose carries need maximum protection to express their potential. She forms unique synergies with high-DPS or high-mobility carries who benefit from her passive buffs. Protect-the-carry compositions are her natural archetype.
Yuumi is countered by compositions that can detach her host or ignore her shields and heals through anti-heal. The carries she attaches to become priority targets — if the host is killed, she's exposed. Simultaneous burst on multiple targets drains her resources.
With Yuumi, choose your host based on context — attach to the most important carry for the current teamfight. Distribute heals proactively before your host reaches low health. Use detachment phases to recover mana or create surprise with your attacks.
Expert note
Expert take
Yuumi is an excellent pick when you already know which action your team wants to empower. She is not there to replace a good draft, nor to single-handedly save a poorly controlled lane: she makes a win condition more stable, faster, and harder to stop. A strong Yuumi player does not think only in terms of healing, but in terms of timing: when to detach, when to hold E, when to swap hosts, and when to turn the ultimate into a zone-control tool around an objective. If you pick her without a clear target, she feels passive. If you pick her with a real threat to amplify, she can decide the game without ever needing to be the most visible champion in the fight.
Weak point
Hidden weakness
Yuumi’s hidden weakness is not only that she struggles against hooks. Her real fragility comes from concentrating a huge amount of team value onto one host. If that player is behind, poorly positioned, too passive, or unable to convert her buffs, Yuumi cannot redistribute pressure as easily as a more autonomous support. She greatly amplifies a good decision, but she also makes bad decisions more costly.
