Yone is a Mid Lane fighter, Yasuo's brother returned from death with a dual blade whose automatic return after his ultimate teleports him to his original position. His hybrid physical-magical damage makes mitigation challenging to itemize against. His ultimate Fate Sealed dives into the spirit realm to pull enemies before snapping back to his position. In Wild Rift, Yone is a safe-engage assassin carry who can dive an enemy backline, burst a target, and teleport to safety — perfect for pick compositions.
Yone excels in knock-up or multi-CC compositions that amplify his mass ultimate. He benefits from allies who can create isolation situations or protection during engagements. Dense teamfight compositions get the maximum from his potential.
Yone is vulnerable against instant burst compositions that eliminate him before his soul return. Long-range CC prevents repositioning through his soul. Constant poke compositions reduce his health before engagements, limiting combat options.
With Yone, use your soul form to engage from unexpected angles and return safely. Your ultimate must hit at least 2-3 targets to be worthwhile — don't waste it on a single enemy. In lane, exploit your two damage types to bypass enemy resistances.
Expert note
Expert take
Yone is an excellent pick for players who can think in windows rather than combos. He rewards preparation: stacking Q3, controlling the wave, leaving vision, waiting for the enemy’s key spell, then entering when the angle is truly exploitable. His real strength is not only killing quickly, but making space dangerous before he even presses ultimate. However, he becomes mediocre if the player tries to force every action from the front. In this patch, Yone deserves to be played when your team can follow his entry or capitalize on the panic he creates. Without follow-up, vision, or patience, he quickly becomes flashy but unstable.
Weak point
Hidden weakness
Yone’s hidden weakness is not only his vulnerability to crowd control: it is how predictable he becomes after committing. His E announces a return point, Q3 announces an entry line, and his ultimate often requires a clear alignment. Against good players, every strong tool also gives exploitable information. If Yone always forces from the same angle or uses E before key enemy spells are gone, he becomes much easier to punish than he looks.
