Expert note

Expert take

Soraka is an excellent choice for players who can read a fight before it explodes. She does not only require fast healing reactions: she requires understanding who is about to be hit, which enemy spell truly threatens the backline, and when the ultimate changes the result of a fight instead of merely delaying a death. She shines when her team agrees to play around her range and presence, not when everyone looks for individual plays. Played well, Soraka makes the enemy feel permanently one spell or one second short of finishing kills. Played poorly, she becomes a fragile support who heals too late and gets punished as soon as the fight becomes direct.

Weak point

Hidden weakness

Soraka’s hidden weakness is not only that she can get caught. It is that she can give her team a false sense of safety. Poorly positioned allies may believe they can be saved when they are already too far, out of range, or locked under too much crowd control. Soraka does not compensate for bad fight structure: she amplifies good structure. If the team engages too far, spreads out, or forgets to protect her backline access, her healing arrives too late or costs too much.

§ 02 — Strengths & weaknesses Soraka Wild Rift strengths and weaknesses

↑ Strengths
  • She becomes highly valuable when objective fights last longer than the initial engage, because every extra heal changes the real value of the trade.
  • She punishes teams that spend too many resources lowering one target without being able to finish the kill immediately.
  • Her global ultimate can save a play on another lane, but her real strength is keeping several allies alive during an already committed fight.
  • Her silence gives a subtle but decisive answer to certain all-ins, especially when placed on an engage path or under a threatened target.
↓ Weaknesses
  • Avoid Soraka if the enemy team has multiple hooks or direct engage tools that can reach her before she can play behind her frontline.
  • Avoid her if your team completely lacks champions that can absorb the first damage wave, because she cannot heal a target that has already been deleted.
  • Avoid Soraka if your composition wants to dive very far and very fast: she may be too far away to support the first play.
  • Avoid her when the enemy draft can force short, explosive, repeated fights, because her impact needs time and proper spacing.

§ 05 — Recommended buildBest Soraka Wild Rift build for the current patch

Soraka remains a very specific support in the current solo queue environment: she does not win by engaging harder than other supports, but by turning extended fights into a mistake for the enemy team. Her value rises whenever fights do not end instantly, especially around dragon, Baron, and mid game groupings where several health bars drop at the same time. She rewards drafts that can survive the first damage wave, then re-enter the fight through her healing, silence, and global ultimate. However, she becomes far less reliable when the enemy can reach her directly, hook her, or force an all-in before she has time to stabilize the fight. Soraka is not a passive support: she is a tempo-control champion who wins by denying the enemy’s first conversion.

Draven
Ideal
Draven
Soraka allows Draven to play much more aggressively in lane because she cancels a huge part of the return trade. The execution is built on relentless pressure: Draven starts with spinning axe trades, Soraka immediately patches up the damage and uses Equinox to cut off engages or retreats. This pair is very strong into lanes that want frequent trades but lack the clean burst to kill before the healing comes through.
Olaf
Ideal
Olaf
Olaf is one of Soraka's best beneficiaries because he wants to stay in contact as long as possible even after already absorbing a lot of damage. The execution is very linear: Olaf engages and forces his way through, Soraka keeps his health afloat from range and saves Equinox to punish anyone trying to kite or counter-engage him. This synergy becomes miserable for teams that cannot burst Olaf fast enough before healing takes over.
Jinx
Strong
Jinx
Jinx loves Soraka slowing the tempo of lane and turning neutral phases into safe ground until the first major fight. The execution focuses on stability: Soraka maintains Jinx's farming range and health, then prevents her from dropping too quickly when the enemy frontline tries to reach her. This pair is especially good into front-to-back comps with poor backline access.
Aatrox
Strong
Aatrox
Aatrox greatly appreciates Soraka in teamfight-oriented comps because she extends a champion who is already difficult to remove. The execution works well when Aatrox takes first contact, draws multiple cooldowns, then Soraka tops him up just enough to enable another full damage-and-heal rotation. This synergy is terrifying against teams that rely on attrition rather than focused burst.

§ 07b — Mecánica avanzadaSoraka: combos & tips Wild Rift

Combo de poke + silencio
1 Q Q
2 E E

§ 08 — DialoguesSoraka Wild Rift FAQ

Q.01 Is Soraka a good blind pick as support? +

Soraka can be picked early in a draft, but she is not always a reliable blind pick. She becomes risky if the enemy can answer with multiple hooks, direct engages, or threats that can reach her before she has time to heal. She is much more comfortable when your team already has a frontline or at least champions capable of surviving the first seconds of a fight.

Q.02 When should Soraka use her ultimate? +

Soraka’s ultimate should be used when it changes the next part of the play, not simply when a health bar is low. The right timing saves a target that can still deal damage, secure an objective, or keep fighting. If you wait until the ally is already isolated, controlled, or running away, you risk turning a decisive global spell into a simple delay before death.

Q.03 Should Soraka play aggressively in lane? +

Soraka can play lane with pressure, but her aggression must stay controlled. She looks for small advantages through range, sustain, and zone control, not by positioning like an engage support. If she walks too far forward without tracking hook or all-in threats, she gives the enemy exactly the opening they want. The goal is to win the trade without giving away her own position.

Q.04 Why can Soraka feel useless even with a lot of healing? +

Because healing only matters if it allows the team to continue a useful action. If Soraka heals allies who are retreating separately, arriving late to an objective, or getting caught one by one, the numbers can be high without changing the game. Her real value appears when healing keeps an important target in the fight at the right moment, with a well-placed silence preventing the enemy from finishing.
