§ 01 — Editorial brief

Singed TOP has a very specific place in the current solo queue environment: he is not judged only by his lane duel, but by how much he bends the game around him.

By WRC Studio ~ 2 min read Patch 7.1f

Singed is a Baron Lane tank-mage who deals persistent damage by running and forces enemies into a painful dilemma — chase him or surrender the split-push. His Poison Trail punishes pursuers with stacking DoT, and his Fling disrupts engagements by throwing enemies behind him. His extreme durability and movement speed make him a harassment and zone-control specialist. In Wild Rift, Singed is a toxic split-push threat who draws enemy attention, isolates lanes, and creates map-wide advantages for his team.

Singed fits in chaos and destabilization compositions that leverage his ability to split attention. He benefits from allies who can capitalize on enemies disrupted or isolated by his throws. Compositions seeking to win through map pressure get the maximum from him.

Singed is vulnerable against compositions that can ignore him and attack from range without submitting to his poison trail. Magic burst or ranged damage champions neutralize him without risking his proxy. Compositions seeking quick grouped fights bypass his split strategy.

With Singed, run ahead of enemies rather than facing them — your trail deals damage for you. Use proxy farming to create global pressure and force enemy responses. In teamfights, throw priority targets into your allies to create advantageous situations.

Expert note

Expert take

Singed has high value when the player understands that his goal is not to win every duel cleanly, but to make the game uncomfortable for the enemy. He is excellent at breaking habits: waves arrive in awkward places, carries must step back before dealing damage, bruisers waste time choosing a target, and objectives become harder to enter. But he requires real discipline. A good Singed knows when to run, when not to run, when to save Ghost for the next objective, and when to simply push without chasing a highlight. He is very strong for players who like controlling tempo through macro and angles, less reliable for those who only want to rush into the middle of the fight.

Weak point

Hidden weakness

Singed’s hidden weakness is not only kiting: it is his dependence on path quality. If he does not know where the jungler is, enters without an exit, or forces a proxy when the wave does not justify the risk, he turns his best weapon into a tempo donation. Singed looks free because he runs everywhere, but he is actually very dependent on vision, objective timing, and the exact moment when the enemy must choose between following him or losing something else.

§ 02 — Strengths & weaknesses Singed Wild Rift strengths and weaknesses

↑ Strengths
  • He punishes compositions that want to move forward as a group, because Rylai turns every step through his poison into a tempo loss.
  • He creates side-lane pressure differently from classic split pushers: the enemy may not want to duel him, but they cannot let waves collapse for free.
  • He converts Ghost and Glorious Enchant into strong catch angles, especially against carries who have already used their dash or Flash.
  • He stays useful even without being fed, because his slow, ground, and ability to cut off space still carry real teamfight value.
↓ Weaknesses
  • Avoid Singed if your team already lacks direct damage: he wears enemies down, but he does not replace real burst or a reliable DPS source.
  • Avoid him when the enemy draft can poke from range without ever needing to walk through your poison.
  • Avoid him if your team cannot follow your entries: an isolated Fling means little if nobody can convert the target.
  • Avoid him into too many mobile duelists who can force you in side lane, because your macro becomes much riskier when you no longer control the paths.

Singed builds around health and AP power to amplify poison damage and running durability. He prioritizes items with sufficient regeneration and resistance to survive proxying. Movement speed is his most valuable stat.

Ideal
Cassiopeia
Singed gives Cassiopeia a perfectly disorganized target through Fling and Mega Adhesive slows, maximizing her sustained DPS. The execution is very stable: Singed catches or cuts off the retreat, flips the target into a bad angle, then Cassiopeia lays down her zone and Twin Fangs onto an enemy who cannot reposition cleanly. This duo is especially strong against bruisers and medium-mobility comps that hate extended fights.
Ideal
Yuumi
Yuumi removes a major Singed weakness: taking too much space and dying too deep without support. The execution is simple but miserable to deal with: Yuumi attaches, speeds Singed up, offsets attrition, and adds crowd control while he runs through the entire frontline creating chaos. This pair becomes especially toxic against comps without heavy upfront burst or enough anti-heal.
Strong
Orianna
Orianna turns Singed's unpredictable movement patterns into a much deadlier area threat through her ball. The execution relies on good timing: Orianna shields Singed with Command: Protect while he runs through the enemy line, then triggers Shockwave when multiple opponents try to stop or collapse on him. It is a very strong synergy in narrow corridors and around objectives where Singed naturally forces grouping.
Strong
Hecarim
Hecarim thrives in chaotic fights, and Singed is one of the best champions in the game at completely breaking enemy formation. The execution is brutal: Singed cuts space and scatters targets, then Hecarim picks the most isolated carry and dives with Onslaught of Shadows to finish the play. This duo is very strong against comps that lack a stable frontline or need to stay tightly packed to function.

§ 08 — DialoguesSinged Wild Rift FAQ

Q.01 Is Singed a good blind pick in TOP? +

Singed can be blind picked, but he is not automatically reliable in every draft. He becomes much riskier if the enemy can answer with range, poke, or a duelist who can control him in side lane without chasing. However, if your team has follow-up and you know how to play around vision, Singed remains hard to punish cleanly. The decision depends less on the isolated matchup and more on your ability to turn lane into map pressure.

Q.02 When does Singed become truly strong in a game? +

His first real breakpoint comes at level 5, because his ultimate lets him enter, survive, and exit with far more margin. But the moment the game truly changes is often Rylai: from that point, his poison applies constant slowing and enemies can no longer chase him or cross a zone without losing major tempo. With Liandry or Demonic Embrace afterward, extended fights become much better for him.

Q.03 Should Singed always proxy? +

No. Proxying is a tool, not an obligation. It is good when you know the jungler’s position, the wave justifies the risk, and your team can benefit from the pressure created. It becomes bad if you do it automatically, without vision, or without an objective behind it. A successful proxy forces the enemy to lose time or resources; a failed proxy simply gives gold, tempo, and sometimes an objective to the opponent.

Q.04 Should Singed engage or peel in teamfights? +

The right answer depends on the angle. If you have Ghost, ultimate, and a side entry, you can break the backline or force a carry backward. If the enemy already has a dive threat onto your carries, peeling with poison, Rylai, and Mega Adhesive can be more valuable. Singed is not just an engage button: he controls paths. The best choice is the one that makes enemy movement impossible at the right moment.
