His profile is especially valuable in a meta where river fights and jungle entrances often decide the game. His tier is intentionally conservative until ranked data for the patch stabilizes.

Yes, especially if you play jungle with strong objective reading. Skarner does not always carry through damage, but he wins games by creating easy engages to follow. He is stronger when your lanes have crowd control or burst to convert Impale. His real power level will need confirmation after a few days of ranked data on the patch.

Q.02 What is the best Skarner jungle build? +

The tank build with Searing Crown, Zeke's Convergence and Thornmail is the most natural fit for his engage role. Searing Crown helps clear and extended damage, Zeke empowers decisive ultimates and Thornmail answers AD/healing. Then adapt with Frozen Heart, Amaranth's Twinguard, Randuin or Force of Nature depending on threats.

Q.03 How do you counter Skarner? +

Play away from walls, keep deep vision and force him to engage frontally. Champions like Olaf, Gwen or Lillia bother him because they ignore control, cut through tanks or kite him. Carries should consider Quicksilver Enchant if Impale becomes the enemy win condition.
