Vi is a jungler whose kit is built for violent engages and precise picks — her ultimate Assault and Battery locks onto a specific enemy and launches her toward them while knocking up everything in between. Her charged Vault Breaker shatters shields and armor. Her chain CC enables persistent lock-down of a target for the full fight duration. In Wild Rift, Vi is a pick-and-engage jungler who excels at targeting the enemy carry and creating repeated pick situations through her cooldown-reducing ultimate.
Vi fits in dive compositions seeking to eliminate an enemy carry through her targeted ultimate. She benefits from allies who can follow her engage with immediate burst on the punched target. All-in or collaborative burst compositions get the maximum from her kit.
Vi is countered by CC compositions that interrupt her charge before impact or neutralize her after engagement. Disengage or dash champions reduce her ultimate effectiveness on priority targets. Grouped compositions limit her solitary picks.
With Vi, signal your ultimate to your team to coordinate burst on the target. Use your charge from lateral angles to surprise backline carries. Your passive shield is valuable — use abilities frequently to keep it active.
Expert note
Expert take
Vi is an excellent choice for players who want a clear, direct, conversion-oriented jungle, but she is not a magic engage button. Her real strength appears when every action is prepared: pathing toward level 5, vision before the objective, target identified, follow-up available. She rewards decision discipline more than mechanical creativity. A good Vi sometimes knows not to ult immediately, waits for enemy Stasis, breaks vision, then hits a target with no space left. If you want to play a champion who gives your team a simple direction and quickly turns an enemy mistake into an objective, Vi keeps real value. If you engage without reading the draft, she becomes predictable.
Weak point
Hidden weakness
Vi’s hidden weakness is not only being kited: it is her dependence on the quality of first contact. If she engages the wrong target, arrives before her team, or spends Q and R to reach a champion who was already planning to stall, she loses almost all ability to correct the play. Unlike a more mobile or more patient jungler, Vi often makes her intention very clear once she commits. Her player must therefore win the fight before the ultimate, through vision, target selection, and timing.
