Blitzcrank puts you in a miserable spot because your kit wins over time, while he wants to win in one second. Lulu can shield, speed, polymorph—but if your ADC gets grabbed at a bad angle, your kit becomes a bandage on a lethal wound, and the trade is already lost before you can set tempo.
Lane becomes tense: your ADC naturally plays farther back, last-hitting under threat, and you lose freedom to step up and poke. Even when Blitz misses a hook, you don’t always regain pressure because simply holding hook threat can keep you in a patience game where he can force one mistake at any moment.
Treat bushes as permanent danger and play behind the wave like your life depends on it—because it does. Sometimes baiting hook onto you (with flash/position escape ready) can open a window, but the core goal stays: make grabs hard, break angles, and punish only when Blitz truly misses and can’t instantly re-threaten.
Pyke is annoying because he hits Lulu on two fronts: lane pick threat and map roaming. Your kit shines when you stick to a carry and make fights “impossible to finish”; Pyke wants the opposite—fast actions, executes, and resets that make your shields feel almost irrelevant.
Even if lane is stable, you’re forced into constant map alert. If Pyke roams and you misread it, your ADC loses priority and mid can explode, forcing you to defend instead of accelerate. One catch can give him momentum to chain picks.
Convert every Pyke roam into a concrete punishment: shove, plate, deep ward, sharp pings, and reset timing so you’re not late on map. In fights, polymorph his entry timing (not the tank), because the goal is to break the execute sequence before it starts, not to patch it afterward.
Leona is a real problem because she doesn’t give you time to ‘support’. Shield and speed shine when you can manage distance; Leona deletes that by forcing instant contact. If she lands on your ADC, you often go into panic mode: emergency polymorph, defensive ult—and the target can still die if her team follows.
Lane can feel suffocating: you stop stepping up to poke, you play back, and your ADC farms under constant threat. Once you lose priority, every ward becomes risky, opening even more angles for Leona to repeat.
Play the read: hold spells for her entry and don’t waste polymorph on free poke when all-in is coming. A strong plan is to keep wave where your ADC can retreat under tower if she commits, then punish her overcommit with slow + focus when she has no clean exit.
Nautilus is difficult because he forces a binary initiation. Lulu prefers exchanges where she chooses when to buff a carry; Nautilus chooses when it starts, and once hook lands you lose the luxury to negotiate fight tempo.
You feel constant pressure: step up to poke and you offer hook lines; play too far back and you lose all presence. After level 5 his ultimate makes it even harsher because he can start fights without a perfect hook.
Work side positioning: stay out of easy hook lines and use the wave as a shield. In fights, ult to blunt the first burst rotation and buy seconds, then polymorph either the enemy carry or Nautilus depending on who is actually threatening your ADC in that exact moment.
Alistar is annoying because he steals tempo control. You want to speed/shield your carry; he can knock them away, break distance, and force you into defensive casting instead of proactive play. When he ults, you get that frustrating feeling of ‘I controlled him… yet he won’t die’.
Lane becomes window-based: buff too early and he waits then engages after; wait too long and you eat pressure. He also punishes unsupported warding—one knock-up can make your escape irrelevant.
Learn to delay buffs so they answer his engage instead of pre-firing. When Alistar steps up, don’t panic: hold polymorph for the moment he actually goes for contact on your carry, not for the first inch forward.
Thresh is uncomfortable because he can win exchanges before they start, then erase your punishment when you think you’ve got it. You shield your ADC—he hooks anyway; you see a kill—he lanterns and the target vanishes. It forces higher precision or your tools feel insufficient.
It becomes a chess game: every step respects hook, every trade respects lantern. Lose vision and it gets worse because you no longer know where the threat comes from.
Make hooks costly: play behind wave, punish missed hooks by taking real space, and don’t commit if you can’t control lantern angle. Polymorph often should target the follow-up threat, not only Thresh—because follow-up is what kills.
Karma is annoying because she denies you tempo control—the same thing you want to do. She pokes, shields, speeds, and makes polymorph less decisive because she often holds enough distance to never give you a free target.
Lane can become a priority race: if Karma shoves and pokes, you spend spells just to survive and lose the option to be proactive. Under tower, your roams and vision naturally get harder.
Play around mantra reads: when Karma spends big shield or big poke, she has a real weakness window. Miss that window and trade into her peak and it feels like you ‘do nothing’—in reality you’re just trading on her timing.
Senna annoys you in a simple way: she hits you at a range you can’t always answer. Lulu can poke a bit, but Senna chips, heals, stacks, and forces an attrition lane where your shield becomes repeated spending rather than a decisive tool.
If you can’t create an all-in window, you can get stuck in a slow lane that bleeds priority and vision. The more you let Senna collect souls unchallenged, the more her scaling becomes a problem even without a dramatic lane loss.
Turn attrition into action: manage wave to create aggressive trade timings and don’t let her poke freely in straight lines. If you can’t catch her, punish her slowness differently—roams, deep vision, and objective pressure while she stays bot stacking.
Versus Nami, it’s a timing battle: land bubble at the right moment and your carry can explode before your shields matter; miss it and you can walk up, take space, and force her defensive. A lot of lane hinges on one spell, making it more tense than it looks.
You can feel ahead in poke and still lose the exchange to one clean bubble. Midgame, her wave ult can also cut fights, forcing you to think about positioning before speeding your carry forward.
Force bubble under stress: step up carefully, feint entry, punish when it’s down. A Lulu who saves speed for dodging and polymorph to break enemy entry gives Nami far fewer openings than a Lulu who mindlessly spams buffs.
Rakan is a reflex/read matchup: he can go in fast, out fast, forcing polymorph timing to be precise. Polymorph too early and he backs off; too late and your ADC is already knocked up and you’re playing catch-up.
Lane can be quiet then explode off one dash. In teamfights, Rakan loves chaos so your protection becomes harder to target, especially with multiple threats arriving.
Hold polymorph as a trap, not a late reaction. When he looks for the angle, position so his entry exposes him to instant CC, and use ultimate to blunt the first burst rotation if your ADC gets caught.
Lux forces you to respect skillshot lines because your kit doesn’t prevent a bind from landing. You can shield after, ult to save, but if your ADC gets caught repeatedly, you end up spending everything just to survive and never create positive pressure.
Lane becomes a poke game where you can lose priority if you don’t take space. If Lux shoves + pokes, you’re stuck defending under tower, reducing vision impact and making you predictable.
Play angles and break her timing: step up when she misses bind, use speed to make her skillshots uncomfortable. If you let her fire for free down a corridor, you’re playing the lane she wants.
Yuumi often makes lane more playable because she can’t contest space the same way. Lulu loves lanes where she can step up, poke, and build gradual pressure; versus Yuumi the enemy has fewer levers to push you off, so you can establish control more easily.
With good wave play and smart trading, you can force the enemy ADC to farm under constant stress, which is where Lulu becomes unbearable. Yuumi can heal, but if you control tempo she’s stuck repairing instead of creating, giving you real margin.
Don’t let lane become free farm: maintain pressure, force summoners, then convert into plates or dragon. If you let Yuumi reach midgame untouched, her scaling reduces your poke value, so your early must matter.
Sona loves slow lanes where she pokes and scales; Lulu loves lanes where she can force Sona defensive by punishing every step up. Because Sona is immobile, you can tax her forward movement with quick trades and tempo advantage.
If you manage spacing well, Sona loses poke freedom and starts using spells to sustain rather than harass. Slowing her early heavily reduces her team-scaling impact.
Play clean: don’t get chipped for free, then punish timings where she steps up without cover. If your ADC follows, you can turn lane into constant pressure—and Sona hates not being allowed to breathe.
Seraphine can poke, but she often needs space and time to set patterns. Lulu can break that comfort by speeding up exchanges and making Seraphine’s timings far less clean, especially when you step up after a missed spell.
If you allow free waveclear, she becomes annoying long term, but in lane you often can disrupt her stability. A Seraphine forced back loses clean note usage and the duo loses control.
