Why
Xin Zhao is hard because he forces close-range fights where Nidalee loses margin. You want to control distance: spear, trap, poke, then execute. Xin wants the opposite—fast entry, stickiness, and sustained dueling while you don’t have time to set your plan.
Lane impact
Around first Scuttle and early rotations, Xin pressures you heavily: he contests, pushes you off, and can take jungle prio, which breaks your gank timings. Even if you survive, you often fall behind in tempo, and Nidalee hates playing from behind because her kit shines when she dictates the map.
How to play
Pathing: avoid river contests when your lanes lack prio; choose a safer clear and gank the prio side rather than forcing fights. Key timing: at level 5 your impact rises, but only with initiative—pick a clean action (gank + invade opposite camps) instead of head-on duels. Decision-making: if Xin chases, don’t kite him into tight corridors; pull him into open space with an exit, ping lanes, and convert his wasted time into an objective or play elsewhere.
