Why
Darius is hard for Mundo because he prevents you from choosing trade length. Mundo loves to stall, back off, regen, then repeat. Darius pulls you in, stacks bleed, and turns every trade into a long survival test where your sustain won’t save you if you’re trapped in his zone.
Lane impact
In lane, one spacing mistake is expensive: you get pulled, take a full trade, then lose the next wave because you must retreat or recall. He can also freeze and force you to step up, enabling snowball. Midgame, if ahead, he becomes a reset threat that makes your front-to-back far more fragile.
How to play
Positioning: respect pull range—don’t offer free hooks for a single last-hit; use cleaver to farm when lane is dangerous. Key timing: breathe when his pull is down—take the wave, then reset before it’s back. Decision-making: if the wave is frozen and you can’t break it safely, take the rational line: ping jungler to help crash it, or drop some CS and keep HP—donating a kill to Darius costs more than losing 6 minions.
